I Will Never Forget England

I was listening to a song "Weekend In New England" by Barry Manilow. While listening, this story popped up in my head – When will our eyes meet; when can I touch you... and when will I hold you again. Here's the story. Two strangers met at an airport: Alden and Julie. Both heads down, busy with their phones, they bumped shoulder to shoulder against each other. " Sorry! I wasn't looking," they both admitted. The Proposal

February 13, Friday. The night before Valentine's Day. Malas daw ang Friday the 13th. Pero astig itong si Jake. Hindi siya naniniwala sa mga ganiyang superstitious. Kaya tuloy ang proposal. May kaya si Jake - may kayang mangutang. Joke lang. Sayang naman ang ambience kung hindi pagkakagastahan. Minsan ka lang ikakasal, lubusin mo na. Kaya, proposal pa lang, bongga na. They set the table, covered with pink linen and white lace, in the middle of the pool. Pinkish dinnerware, golden cutlery, champagne glasses, pink tulips at the centre of the table. White and red roses quietly floating in the water, moon light glimmering. There were red and white balloons, red and white satins decorated just every empty space. A few meters away, there was a harpist, a flautist, a pianist, a violinist, and an acoustic guitarist waiting to play some romantic music. Pag ganiyan naman ang Valentine's date mo, hindi ka ba kikiligin? Akala ni  Maine, it's just one of those Valentine's
